Position: Media Consultant
Reports to: Sales Manager
Leighton Media Media Consultant establishes and maintain marketing partnerships with area businesses and develop creative ad campaigns & promotions to increase their business. In this role, you’ll work alongside a small team of other Media Consultants to achieve market goals.
Responsibilities:
- Seek out new clients and grow existing client accounts.
- Assist Sales Manager with budget planning and sales projections.
- Attend weekly team meetings and provide progress updates.
- Utilize existing software programs for sales management, revenue order entry, and project management.
- Achieve monthly sales goals and annual revenue targets.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of sales experience.

Position: General Sales Manager
Reports to: General Manager
Positions Summary: The General Sales Manager role is responsible for achieving or exceeding market revenue goals and lead the development of members of the sales team in broadcast, digital and events.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Lead and prepare for weekly sales meetings
· Attend meetings with Media Consultants with their clients
· Create and execute revenue generating sales ideas for broadcast, digital and events divisions
· Daily usage of software programs to measure overall revenue growth and Media Consultants progress
· Lead, manage and hold accountable Media Consultants
· Own financial metrics of the sales department including pricing inventory, expense management, weekly revenue, pacing and forecasting

Qualifications:
· Experience as a proven sales leader in the role of account executive or higher
· Comprehension of overall broadcast marketing opportunities including digital and events

Position: Sports Director – Winona Radio Station
Reports to: Operations Manager / Program Director
Position Overview:
We’re looking for a passionate and community-connected Sports Director to lead our local sports coverage and serve as the voice of athletics in Winona. You’ll be responsible for delivering compelling on-air play-by-play broadcasts, producing local sports content, and managing relationships with schools, coaches, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Play-by-Play Broadcasts: Call live high school football, basketball, baseball, and other local sports.
- Content Production: Create and produce daily and weekly local sports updates for on-air and digital.
- Coach/Player Interviews: Conduct and edit interviews for use on-air and online.
- Community Engagement: Build relationships with local schools, athletic directors, and sponsors.
- Social Media: Share game updates, scores, highlights, and behind-the-scenes content across digital platforms.
- Scheduling: Coordinate sports broadcast schedules, secure board operators or fill-in announcers as needed.
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team on sports-related sponsorships and promotions.
- Other Duties: Voice-tracking, live remotes, production tasks, and station events as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Prior on-air broadcasting experience; play-by-play strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of and passion for local and regional sports.
- Comfortable with audio editing software (Adobe Audition, etc.).
- Strong writing, speaking, and interviewing skills.
- Ability to work nights and weekends, particularly during sports seasons.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with digital and social media platforms for sports engagement.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Winona-area schools and sports programs.
- Experience working in a small-to-mid-market radio environment.
- Familiarity with Nex Gen , Zetta, or other radio automation systems.
Pay Range is $35,000 - $40,000 depending on experience.
